Planning a girls’ trip? We recently spent 72 hours in Music City with friends and we wanted to share the planned and the spontaneous adventures we had!
COFFEE
Coffee is a must and while you could plan out the coffee spots you want to hit up ahead of time, you really can’t go wrong with a spontaneous trip to any coffee shop nearby. We went to these three and loved how unique each location was!
This is actually a coffee shop in the lobby of the Graduate Hotel but is fully accessible to the general public. It is full of instagram-worthy decor and they have a variety of breakfast items (all day!) I had a chestnut praline latte and it was so good.
Cute café with delicious avocado toast and a dirty chai tea that I can’t stop thinking about. This is one of those coffee shops that is community driven with a lot of amazing opportunities for local students.
I was obsessed with the décor in Elixr. We went here on our last day and I progressively got more bold with my drink order choices so I went with the Strawberry Milk Latte and it did not disappoint. It also helped that it matched the pink accents everywhere. I’m looking forward to trying to make a version of this latte at home.
DONUTS
There’s probably at least a (baker’s) dozen donut shops in Nashville and if I could I would have tried them all.
I think we may have ordered every donut available. At least it felt like it! We put them all out on butcher paper and cut into each so people could try different flavors. The Strawberry Fields and the Blueberry Lemon flavor went the fastest! Make sure to try the 100 Layer Staple Flavors too; these were so fluffy!
BRUNCH
Breakfast is a pretty big deal here, and you can bet biscuits are involved.
Two words: Whipped Feta. It’s the breakfast staple I didn’t know I needed. But you bet we will be trying to recreate it soon! If you’re going with a group, they can make custom menus for your brunch date and everything was incredible. But mainly the whipped feta.
SPA
One of the first things we did was a spa day and we can’t recommend it enough! After traveling, it’s just what you need to start your trip relaxed and refreshed.
Massage + Facial is the way to go! The staff is incredible and they have a party room and a gift shop. Enjoy yourself!
BOOTS
Life is short. Buy the Boots.
Boots are a must so if you don’t have a pair, there are plenty of shops with boots to fit a wide range of budgets. But if you’re with a group and a few people want to buy some boots, then your best bet is the Buy 1 Get 2 Free deal at Boot Country.
WINE
Your first thought when thinking about Tennessee libations may be good old Tennessee Whisky, but don’t forget the wine.
About 40 minutes outside of Nashville, this winery is worth the trip for the views, the relaxing atmosphere and the plethora of picnic tables to choose from. Bring a picnic lunch and sip on some incredible wine or frose.
MUSIC
It’s Music City, after all!
Backstage Nashville - Hit Songwriters Show
While you can hit up the bars on Broadway and catch a new country star in the making if you’re lucky, we also went to the Hit Songwriters Show where a variety of songwriters who have written some of country’s biggest hits share their experiences working with the stars of country music. Highly recommend it!
LINE DANCING
Step up to the challenge!
I’ll admit that I was a bit nervous to learn how to line dance but we all had so much fun! Instructors were helpful and broke down the steps in an easy way. Honestly it was a bit of a workout!
